Today's Newsweek magazine carries a piece in the Technology and Science section by Sharon Begley featuring The Accidental Mind. It's a bit of an odd duck, actually. It's not really a book review as it contains no evaluative statements about the book. Neither is it a general feature piece on advances in brain research as it is based, as near as I can tell, entirely on The Accidental Mind. What it really is, is a "book report"-- like the ones we had to write in 7th grade. Only, in this case, it's been written by a professional science journalist and published in a magazine with a circulation of 3.1 million!

The Accidental Mind is a book by David J. Linden. It seeks to explain how brain evolution has given rise to those qualities that most profoundly shape our human experience. It was published by The Belknap Press of Harvard University Press in March, 2007 and a paperback edition was released in October, 2008.
